Thrifty Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. flour
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. coconut
    1 egg yolk
    1 (9-inch) pie shell, baked
Preparation
    Scald milk.
    Mix sugar, salt, flour and 1/2 of the milk together in a saucepan.
    Stir into rest of milk and cook slowly (5 minutes).
    Add mixture to egg yolk and cook for 1 minute.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Cool and add coconut and pour into pie shell. Top with Cool Whip and top with coconut.
