Canadian Cheese Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 c. diced onion
    1/2 c. diced celery
    1/2 c. diced carrot
    1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 pt. chicken broth or bouillon cubes, mixed as directed
    1 qt. milk
    1/8 tsp. soda
    1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese
    1 tsp. parsley
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Melt butter; add vegetables and saute.
    Add flour and cornstarch.
    Add stock and milk.
    Add soda, cheese and seasonings. Heat thoroughly but do not boil.
