Yankee Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 lb.) chuck roast
    1/2 c. dry red wine or cooking wine
    1/2 c. beef broth
    2 medium potatoes, quartered
    2 large onions
    4 carrots
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Combine roast, wine, broth and onions.
    Microwave 4 minutes on High; then 1/2 hour on Simmer (3 power).
    Add potatoes, carrots, salt and pepper.
    Cook 45 minutes on 5 (Medium power).
