Individual Baked Alaska - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 slices angel cake
    2 c. berries (any kind you like)
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. egg whites
    1 scoop ice cream or sorbet (optional)
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Slice a piece of angel cake and press it into a coffee cup. Sugar the berries (1 tablespoon) and slice if necessary.
    Press them into the cake.
    If using sorbet or ice cream, only fill the cup half way with the berries.
    Add the scoop of ice cream and fill the cup with more berries.
    Invert the cup.
    Beat egg whites until soft peaks form, then add the 1/4 cup sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
    Spread the meringue on cakes and bake in a preheated 400\u00b0 oven for approximately 3 to 4 minutes or until meringue is slightly golden.
    Approximately 30 minutes. Serves 4.
