Ingredients

1 c. seedless raisins
1 c. chopped nuts
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. soft butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
Preparation

Grease baking sheet lightly.
Start oven 10 minutes before baking.
Set to moderately hot temperature (400\u00b0).
Plump raisins. Cool.
Chop nuts.
Cream butter until shiny.
Add sugar in 2 portions, mixing until smooth after each.
Stir in raisins and nuts well.
Drop with a teaspoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until brown.
Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
