No Fail Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 c. milk
    1 stick butter or margarine
Preparation
    Heat one large can of cherries or peaches or some other fruit (as you prefer), juice and all.
    Melt 1 stick butter or oleo in 2-quart baking dish.
    Pour the mixed batter over the top of the melted butter.
    Then pour hot fruit over batter and bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
