Taffy Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
    1/2 c. sugar
    8 oz. crushed pineapple (save juice)
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
    1 c. dry roasted unsalted peanuts, chopped
Preparation
    Make sauce a day ahead.
    Mix flour, sugar, pineapple juice, vinegar and slightly beaten egg in a saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat until thick; chill overnight.
    Mix chilled sauce with Cool Whip, crushed pineapple, diced apples and 3/4 cup peanuts.
    Mix and top with remaining nuts.
