Raisin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/4 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening or oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
2 well beaten eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Boil the raisins and water for 5 minutes. Cool and stir in the baking soda. Cream the sugar, shortening or oleo, vanilla and eggs.
Add the cooled raisin mixture, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking powder.
Nuts can be added. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased pan. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Should be a soft cookie.
