Grandma Weiss' Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut up
    2 c. flour
    1/4 c. plus milk
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    2 eggs
    pepper
Preparation
    Brown chicken in small amount of oil in large pot or pressure cooker.
    Drain off oil.
    Cover chicken in pot with water; add salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover and simmer until tender, about 1 hour. While cooking, mix dumplings.
