Mexican Cornbread With Ground Meat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    2 eggs, well beaten
    1 c. sweet milk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 can cream-style corn
    1/2 c. bacon drippings or vegetable oil
    1/2 lb. lean ground meat
    1 large onion, chopped fine
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped (fresh or canned)
Preparation
    Mix first 7 ingredients and set aside.
    Brown ground meat; drain off excess grease and spread cooked meat on paper towels to drain.
    Prepare onion, cheese and peppers; place in separate mounds, ready to use.
