Party Pork Chops - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lean pork chops (3/4 to 1-inch thick)
    4 thin slices onion
    1/4 c. uncooked rice
    1 (1 lb. 13 oz.) can tomatoes
    1 tsp. salt
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Season pork chops with salt and pepper.
    Brown on both sides in lightly greased, hot skillet.
    Put chops in baking dish.
    Top each with a slice of onion, 1 tablespoon rice and cover with whole tomatoes.
    Add remaining tomatoes and juice to dish.
    Cover.
    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 350\u00b0 or until tender.
    Serves 4.
