Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. miniature marshmallows
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry flavored jello
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
3 eggs
2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen sliced strawberries
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Generously grease bottom only of 13 x 9-inch pan.
Sprinkle marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan.
Thoroughly combine thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin and set aside.
In large bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Blend at low speed until moistened.
Beat 3 minutes at medium.
Pour batter evenly over marshmallows and spoon strawberry mixture over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes or until golden.
