Kirsch'S Fresh Apple Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    8 to 10 apples, peeled and sliced thin
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. butter or oleo
Preparation
    Place apples in a 9-inch baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
    Boil 1 cup sugar and water to a syrup, about 5 minutes, then pour over apples.
