Never Fail Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    dash of salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3/4 c. peanut butter
Preparation
    Butter an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
    In a medium saucepan, stir together the sugar, milk and salt.
    Boil 10 minutes.
    Add butter and boil until a small amount forms a soft ball when dropped into very cold water (not ice water).
    Remove from heat.
    Add vanilla. Beat and pour into buttered pan.
