Pepper Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. round steak
    1/4 c. soy sauce
    1 clove garlic
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1/4 c. salad oil
    1 c. green onion
    1 c. green or red peppers
    2 stalks celery, sliced
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 c. water
    1 can chopped whole tomatoes
Preparation
    Cut beef in thin strips.
    If beef is partially frozen, it is easier to cut.
    Combine soy sauce, garlic and ginger.
    Add beef. Toss and set aside.
    Heat oil in large frying pan or wok.
    Add beef and cook over high heat until browned.
    If not tender, simmer for 30 to 40 minutes over low heat.
    Add vegetables and cook until tender-crisp, about 10 minutes.
    Mix cornstarch with water.
    Add to mixture; stir until thickened.
    Add tomatoes and heat through. Serve over rice.
