Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. flour
2 c. corn meal (Martha White)
heaping Tbsp. sugar
heaping tsp. baking power
1/4 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Dump all ingredients in bowl and mix well.
Add egg and over 1 cup and 1/4 of buttermilk.
Stir well.
Add small amount of water if too thick.
Put in 2 tablespoons of Crisco or bacon dripping in iron skillet and let get hot.
Pour cornbread mixture in skillet. Bake in oven at 450\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes.
If not browned on top when 15 minutes are up, put under broiler to brown.
