Grandma'S New England Sauerbraten - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (3 1/2 to 4 lb.) beef rump roast
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    2 c. (1/2 lb.) fresh cranberries
    1 c. chopped onions
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet
Preparation
    Brown meat on all sides in hot shortening in Dutch oven. Season with salt and pepper.
    Add berries, onion, celery and water. Cover tightly and cook 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until tender.
    Add water, if needed.
