Highland Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. butter
    1 c. sugar
    4 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Combine dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture, one cup at a time.
    Prick all over with a fork.
    Place in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven and immediately reduce heat to 300\u00b0.
    Bake for 1 hour until pale golden brown.
    Cut in fingers while hot.
    Cool in pan.
