Prune Souffle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    21 prunes, cooked and chopped
    12 egg whites
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
Preparation
    Beat egg whites
    until
    very
    stiff, add sugar, vanilla and salt.
    Beat until
    sugar
    is mixed in and dissolved.
    Fold in prunes.
    Pour into a 9
    x 13-inch baking dish and bake in a 250\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
    Turn
    off oven after the 45 minutes but leave souffle in
    oven
    until
    the
    oven
    cools.
    Serve in squares.
    Garnish with Cool Whip, if desired.
