Swedish Jansons Temptations(Anchovies Au Gratin) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sliced onion
    1/3 c. margarine or butter
    4 c. raw potatoes, cut thin
    1 can Swedish anchovy fillets
    1 c. half and half cream
Preparation
    Saute sliced onion in 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter. Peel potatoes and cut thin.
    Butter 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Arrange 1 layer or half of amount of potatoes.
    Spread onion and anchovy fillets over and top with remaining potatoes.
    Sprinkle juice from anchovy can over potatoes and dot with remaining margarine or butter.
    Add half and half and cover with aluminum foil.
