Steamed Christmas Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. milk
    1/4 c. grape juice
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 c. ground suet
    2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. mace
    2 c. seeded raisins
    1/2 c. fruit peel, assorted
Preparation
    Beat eggs; add sugar and mix well.
    Sift flour, soda, spices and salt and add to egg mixture.
    Dust fruit and nuts with flour and fold into batter.
    Steam 3 hours and serve with hard sauce. Tin cans are good to steam in, then when you want to serve, remove bottom from can and push pudding out.
