Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    1/4 c. white Karo
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 egg yolks
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. sugar
Preparation
    Scald 1 3/4 cups milk with Karo in microwave.
    Mix cornstarch, remaining 1/4 cup milk, sugar, salt and beaten egg yolks in double boiler.
    Add scalded milk to mixture.
    Cook until thick.
    Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon margarine.
    May add coconut, bananas or cocoa to make a different pie.
    Top with Cool Whip when pie is cool.
