Gourmet Beef Noodle Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground sirloin
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 lb. can tomatoes
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 small can mushrooms, drained
1 clove garlic or garlic powder
2 tsp. sugar
1/2 c. low sodium beef broth (pkg. come 8 to a box)
8 oz. medium size noodles
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. sour cream
1/3 c. chopped onion
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese (optional)
Preparation

Saute beef with onion in oil; drain.
Stir next 8 ingredients in and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Cook and drain noodles. Beat together cottage cheese and sour cream and add to noodles. Pour one cup of meat mixture into a 3-quart casserole and add a layer of noodles and a layer of Cheddar cheese.
Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce and a little cheese on top.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
Serves 8.
