Chocolate Caramel Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 oz.) pkg. caramels
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
    3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
    1/3 c. evaporated milk
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In heavy saucepan, combine caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Heat and stir until melted.
    Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, combine cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk.
    Mix by hand until moistened.
    Press half of this mixture on bottom of a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake 6 minutes.
    Sprinkle chocolate chips over baked crust; drizzle with melted caramels and crumble remaining cake mix mixture over all. Return to oven and bake an additional 15 to 18 minutes.
    Cool in refrigerator 30 minutes before cutting into bars.
