Kahlua - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. water
    2 oz. instant coffee
    6 c. sugar
    1 oz. vanilla extract
    1/5 190 proof pure grain alcohol
Preparation
    In a large saucepan, bring 1 quart of water to a boil, then add coffee.
    Remove from heat.
    In a separate saucepan, bring the other quart of water to a boil; add sugar and stir until all sugar is dissolved.
    Mix both water mixtures together and let sit until cool.
    When cool, add vanilla and pure grain alcohol and mix. Pour into a gallon container and store in a dark place for 2 weeks to ferment.
    Makes 1 gallon.
