German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    several strips bacon
    flour to thicken
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Fry bacon; drain off most of fat and add flour to thicken.
    Add sugar, vinegar and water.
    Pour while hot over cut up boiled potatoes and onion.
    Let set for hours before serving, perhaps overnight.
    Serve warm.
