Upside-Down Pineapple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
maraschino cherries
walnuts or pecans
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Topping:
Melt butter in a 9 x 1 1/2-inch round pan.
Drain pineapple, reserving 1/2 cup syrup.
Arrange cherries and nuts in bottom of pan.
Cover with brown sugar and then pineapple.
