Mother'S Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    9 Tbsp. cocoa
    3 eggs, well beaten
    2 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening together.
    Add well beaten eggs and milk.
    Sift flour, salt, cocoa and baking powder together.
    Sift twice.
    Add to first mixture.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour into 3 greased and floured cake pans.
    Bake in moderate oven until cake tests done.
    Use Cream Filling between layers.
    Use Mother's Mocha Icing on top and sides.
