Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. cake flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. buttermilk
3 eggs (1/2 to 2/3 c.)
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat
oven
to\t350\u00b0.
Grease
and
flour a 13 x 9-inch baking pan,
two 9-inch pans or three 8-inch round layer cake pans. Measure
all
ingredients
into
a\tlarge
mixing bowl. Blend 1/2 minute on low speed, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat 3
minutes on\thigh
speed, scraping bowl occasionally.
Pour into pans. Bake
oblong cake 45 to 50 minutes or until wooden pick
inserted in\tcenter comes out clean.
Cool.\tFrost with Vanilla Butter or Cream Cheese Frosting.
