Ingredients

1/2 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
dash of salt
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz.)
1/3 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Line cookie sheets with foil, lightly grease foil.
Cream butter and sugar in a large bowl until light. Add egg; beat until creamy.
Stir in vanilla, flour and salt.
Add chocolate chips and nuts.
Mix well.
Drop dough by teaspoons 3-inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
Bake 7 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are set.
Cool completely on foil, then peel foil from cookies.
Makes 2 dozen.
