Plain Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

3 c. sugar
3 c. flour
5 eggs
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. baking powder
flavoring (vanilla, lemon)

Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and Crisco well.
Mix in flour and milk. Add flavoring and eggs; mix well.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes without opening door.
Place a pan of water under cake to prevent dryness.
