New Orleans Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. cream
    1 tsp. butter
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. pecans, chopped
Preparation
    Boil sugar and cream together until it forms a firm ball when tried in cold water.
    Add butter and vanilla; cool and beat until creamy.
    Add the chopped pecans and stir well.
    Drop by tablespoons on buttered paper and allow to cool.
