Hopple Popple - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 medium potato
1/4 chopped onion
1/2 slice dried rye bread
1 egg, beaten
Preparation

Peel and dice potato; mix with onion and fry in bacon drippings.
Add salt and pepper and cubed bread until grease is absorbed.
Beat egg and pour slowly into skillet until cooked. Serve vegetables and salad or as a breakfast with toast or biscuits.
Can add ham or bacon chunks.
