Pierogi Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    9 lasagna noodles
    4 to 5 medium potatoes
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    3/4 c. butter
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Cook lasagna noodles in 6 quarts boiling water until tender (15 minutes).
    Drain; rinse with cold water and drain again.
    Cook potatoes, drain and mash.
    Add cheese to hot mashed potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
