Snickerdoodles(Makes 4 Dozen) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
Preparation
    Cream together shortening, sugar and eggs.
    Stir together remaining ingredients and add to above.
    Mix well.
    Roll into balls size of a walnut and roll in a mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
