Swiss Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 lb. round steak, cut into pieces
    1/3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 small can tomato sauce
    1 bell pepper
    1 small onion
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Salt and pepper steak to taste.
    Brown steak in a small amount of oil.
    Remove steak from skillet.
    Add flour; brown flour, then add 2 to 3 cups of water and tomato sauce.
    Stir until smooth. Put steak back into gravy.
    Add bell pepper and onion (either sliced in rings or chopped).
    Works great to simmer in electric skillet about 1 1/2 hours at 250\u00b0 or 300\u00b0, or all day in a crock-pot on low.
