Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar, sifted
    5 large or 6 small eggs
    2 c. cake flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Whip butter and sugar until creamy.
    Stir in eggs, beat one at a time.
    Add flour and vanilla, mix well.
    Bake in tube or loaf pan (well greased and floured) at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake leaves sides of pan.
    Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
