German Chocolate Pie - cooking recipe

1 pie shell
1 (3 oz.) pkg. regular (not instant) chocolate pudding
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 stick butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. coconut flakes
1 c. pecans
1 (4 oz.) pkg. whipped topping, thawed
Preparation

Bake pie shell at 350\u00b0 until barely golden.
Combine pie filling mix and milk in saucepan and cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Pour into a bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and let cool completely.
