Ingredients

3 c. plus 6 Tbsp. unsifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1 (18 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips (3 c.)
1 1/2 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Combine flour, soda and salt; set aside.
In large bowl, combine margarine, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla.
Beat until creamy.
Beat in eggs.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in chocolate and nuts.
Divide in half.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8 to 10 minutes.
Can be wrapped in waxed paper and frozen to slice and bake up to 8 weeks.
