Candied Pecans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk plus 4 drops red food coloring
    1 tsp. white Karo syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan mix sugar, milk, Karo and salt.
    Cook to soft ball stage, 238\u00b0.
    Add nuts and stir until creamy.
    Quickly turn out on waxed paper and separate with fork.
