Daffodil Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    1 c. sugar
    1 box vanilla pudding mix
    8 oz. Cool Whip
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Bake cake according to directions on box, using a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Cool cake and poke holes in it an inch apart.
    Cook pineapple and sugar, about 5 minutes.
    Cool and pour over cake. Fix pudding according to directions on package.
    Pour over the pineapple mixture.
    Spread Cool Whip on top.
    Sprinkle with pecans and refrigerate.
