Fried Okra - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. tender okra
    1/2 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 c. cornmeal
    salt and pepper
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Cut okra in 1-inch rounds; season to taste.
    In a small bowl, beat egg; add milk.
    Dip okra in mixture; roll in seasoned cornmeal.
    Fry in deep fat until crisp; brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Serves 4.
