Shrimp Scampi - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. large shrimp, shelled and deveined
    4 cloves garlic
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    2 to 3 tsp. oregano
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    Romano cheese, grated (optional)
Preparation
    Clean shrimp and put into a bowl.
    Crush garlic; stir into shrimp and chill together for several hours.
    Put shrimp into heated large pot or wok; pour olive oil over shrimp and quickly stir until shrimp begins to cook.
    Add tomatoes and oregano; stir until mixture bubbles.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Serve over rice or pasta.
    Serves 6 to 8.
