Mama'S Hickory Nut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, separated
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 c. chopped hickory nuts *
1 tsp. vanilla
