Egg-Milk-Butterless Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. lard
    1 c. raisins
    1 c. water
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in hot water
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Boil sugar, lard, raisins, water, cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt for 3 minutes.
    (Boil 3 minutes after it starts to boil.) Take off the stove and let cool (real cold).
    Then stir in flour, baking powder and soda.
    Bake in a slow oven for 1 hour at 300\u00b0 or until done.
