Lazy Daisy Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. boiling water
1 c. oats
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
Frosting
Preparation

Pour boiling water over oats in small bowl.
Let stand, covered, for 20 minutes.
Beat butter in large mixer bowl until light.
Add sugar and brown sugar gradually, beating until fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs; beat well.
Stir in oats.
Sift flour, salt, soda and cinnamon together.
Stir into oats mixture.
Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 50 to 55 minutes or until cake tests done.
Spread frosting over top of cake.
Bake until bubbly.
