Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 stick margarine
2 c. sugar
2 c. cake flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. salt
1 small can coconut
5 egg whites, beaten
1/2 c. Crisco
5 egg yolks
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat margarine and shortening.
Add sugar; beat well.
Beat in egg yolks, one at a time.
Sift flour with soda.
Add alternately with buttermilk.
Add vanilla, nuts and coconut.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake in 3 (9-inch) pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
