Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. sweet milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream together sugar and butter.
Add eggs and mix thoroughly. Combine dry ingredients and add to first mixture followed by nuts, vanilla and milk.
Form into two 2-inch rolls and wrap in waxed paper.
Refrigerate until firm.
Slice thin and bake on ungreased cookie sheets in 350\u00b0 oven until brown.
Remove directly from sheets.
Cool completely before storing in airtight containers.
