Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. soft shortening or margarine
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Mix together first 3 ingredients thoroughly.
    Sift together flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt; and add to sugar mixture.
    Chill.
    Combine 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Remove dough from refrigerator and roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
    Roll in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
