Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 sticks butter
3 cups sugar
6 eggs (separated)
3 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 (8 oz.) carton sour cream
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar in mixing bowl.
Beat egg yolks until frothy and add to butter and sugar mixture.
Sift together the dry ingredients and add alternately with the sour cream while beating at medium speed.
Add your choice of either 2 tbsp. lemon juice and grated rind, or 2 tbsp. rum, or tsp. vanilla.
In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff and fold into cake batter.
Pour mixture into greased and floured tube pan and bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours.
